Mr. and Mrs. Skubal

Lesa and Chris were married on a gorgeous Saturday in September with both the ceremony and reception at The Lodge at Ironwoods in Leawood. They wanted their wedding to reflect them. They wanted simple, rustic, and a big party!

The day started with both the bride and groom getting ready off site while their vendors began to set-up The Lodge! While Lesa was getting ready, Deanna began the detail shots on all of Lesa’s fabulously feminine details.

Lesa and Chris decided to keep with tradition and NOT do a first look. Lesa did do a first look with her dad though - it was very sweet and emotional. So pre-ceremony a few bridal party pictures were taken along with the daddy/daughter first look, but then it was straight to the ceremony where they added a personal touch and had Chris’s uncle officiate. Bridal party pictures followed the ceremony while the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour before the reception began.

After their grand entrance into their reception, Lesa and Chris shared their first dance which was then followed by a big surprise made possible by Chris’s sister. Lesa and Chris are HUGE Granger Smith fans. They even got engaged at one of his concerts. His sister was able to get them a video message from Granger himself that was played at the reception - they were pretty surprised! Their guests enjoyed delicious BBQ sandwiches for dinner and a lovely dessert bar with cupcakes and cookies. The bride shared a special dance with her father and the groom shared a beautiful dance with his mother. They then spent the night at the photo booth and partying it up on the dance floor!

You can catch the teaser for their wedding video below!

Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your sweet and special day.
